We're not the First and that's OK ~ Caravan Maya
Based in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. Maa is a collective of 494 women, each from a different family across seventeen villages. Together, through the beadwork products that they create and are now able to sell, they themselves are able to support over 9000 people in their own communities, and the impact of Maa Beadwork on their lives has been remarkable.
Founded in 2013 by Dr. Crystal Mogensen, Maa is a Social Impact Non-Profit. It is when she realized that the people of the community were unable to benefit from Tourists that visit the Mara on account of various social-economic determinants.
